Thanksgiving and beyond...

We went to Portland for my cousin's wedding. It was a beautiful ceremony- except that Adalyn cried through the whole thing so Talon spent the time in the hall with her. 

While there we went to the coast. BEAUTIFUL

Ate some super yummy fish n' chips and clam chowder




And took about a million photos of Adalyn in her sweet owl hat (thanks aunt chelsea!)





Shouldn't need much of a title- That's my Grandpa in the middle!

We haven't been able to see it yet, but Talon's dad is an apostle in "Savior of the World" in SLC. This is the reason Talon has the nappy beard going on. Once we get to Utah (in t-minus 6 days), he'll shave. 

Went to Columbia, MO with a dear friend and stopped at the Steak n' Shake for lunch. Delicious Chocolate shake!

We had some friends over to make cookie turkeys! So fun! 








The guys had just finished finals so they just chilled while we made the cookies


And what's a Thanksgiving Break without some basketball?

Even our friend's little girl got in on the action! 

Then came the time- my first Turkey prep by myself!

My Birthday was on Thanksgiving this year! I love when that happens! 
So Adalyn was cute and gave me birthday cuddles.

My super talented sister made these slippers for my birthday. I call them my indoor slippers. My family said they remind them of my Grandma Barney. :D

She has gotten some good control over her left hand. She can rub her eyes, rub her nose, and chew her finger. Life is bliss.

Like I said, the finger is a keeper. 

We've had a great month and are looking forward to a GREAT Holiday season! We're loving all the decorations, movies, music and fun. But most of all, we are so grateful for the season to turn our thoughts to Christ. He is the reason for season. :D

Hello Family and Friends! If you haven't heard yet, our little baby girl Adalyn was born Tuesday, March 15th at about 2pm. She was born by emergency C-section (they knocked Nicole all the way out because there wasn't time for anything else) and was under a lot of distress. After a wonderful blessing from her Grandpa Hicken and Daddy she was life flighted to McKay-Dee Hospital in Ogden. She is still in the NICU there but is making great strides each and every day.  Her mommy and daddy named her Adalyn Julene Anderson-- after her great grandma Anderson (Julene). She has already blessed their lives immensely and she has benefited so much from prayers and fasts of family and friends. She has a long road ahead of her, but she is a fighter! Her grandpa Hicken calls her his little Millie- because she is a miracle baby and in Spanish, miracle is Milagro. She is a miracle and we are so happy to have her.  Love you all!

Delivery Day

Well folks- it's D-Day! After talking some more and discussing with us- our doctors (a team of OBs and Perinatologists) have decided that it is best for baby boy not to have any risks with the placenta and come today. So- He's going to be very early- they will have completed the steroids though, so that is helpful. But we all feel that this is the very best thing for HIM. I'll have a c-section- hopefully regular this time- this afternoon and we will have a baby boy by this evening. He will go straight to the NICU and we'll just see how he does to know more about how long he will be there. Again, thank you all for your comments, prayers, texts, phone calls. We appreciate all of you and your love and support for us! Love you all- remember we are in His hands. And who's better to be in.
