Family 2012: Year of Baby Steps
Another
year has come and gone and we turn our thoughts to Christ and Family. This year
we have taken many Baby Steps in our lives. Enjoy reading all about it!
Adalyn: Of course, Adalyn is
making the most baby steps. She has made some immense progress this year- but
all in baby steps. She turned 1 in March, started sitting pretty well this
summer, & had her first surgery- a Cochlear Implant! It has been so fun to
see her start babbling again, turning to sounds, and even recognizing some words
and turning to our voices. Her recent baby steps in listening and speaking are
that she is almost saying MAMA- not that she knows what it means, but still, a
Mom’s gotta a right to get excited! She also gained some great weight and is
really starting to get social and find motivation to move and look and touch.
We love our girl and are proud of all her Baby Steps this year!
Nicole: At the beginning of the
year Nicole decided to start taking baby steps towards training for a half
marathon. It took lots of baby miles and hours- but eventually, in April she
ran it and had a great time doing it! She also made baby steps teaching a spin
class at the school’s gym and is now making some great baby steps towards
making our next baby. :D Due Mid-May.
Talon: He made his baby steps
through his first year of his masters and got great grades. Made baby steps
towards refinishing furniture, playing golf and doing surgeries on rats. He has
been working on his research and making baby steps in understanding diabetes
and exercise. He’s gotten really good at baby steps in doing the small surgical
procedures on the rats and in October made a not so baby step in getting into
Med School. He’ll matriculate July 2013! We’re so proud of him for his hard
work… many more baby steps and MUCH more work ahead!
We are reminded again of the
constant miracles the Lord has given us in our own lives and in the lives all
around us. Those baby steps we take towards Him and His presence are real. As
we try to take the baby steps to repent and become more like Him, our Savior,
Jesus Christ, may we remember all he has done for us and His infinite love for
us. Let us try to remember Him, not only this Christmas, but always. Have a
wonderful season!
Love, The Andersons (Talon,
Nicole, Adalyn & Jr.)
