Staying put is nice

For the last year and a half we have been here in Kirksville working toward one thing: Medical School. 

Well, it has paid off and I'm happy to say, we are staying put for 2 more years. 
(This does mean that Talon got in to medical school, if you didn't 'read between the lines'... but then, I guess you just did)
I am so excited not to pack a box for 2 1/2 years. 
I'm thrilled to stay here with our great ward and friends and school. 
And it will be nice not to have to find and break in (because you really do have to break them in) new therapists and doctors for Adalyn. 

Talon and I have had a little issue for the first few years of our married lives.
You see, we have a moving fetish. 
We have moved EVERY YEAR that we have been married.

Year 1: Aggie Village (married student housing, and ok, it was a little over a year)

Year 2: Pine View (apartment managers)

Year 3: West Stadium Villa (family housing RAs)

Year 4: our duplex in Kirksville

Year 5: Our current home


Good thing we signed a 3 year lease and prayed we wouldn't have to break it! :D

So here's to years 6 & 7 in our same cute little house. I'll just repaint and all that jazz instead of moving.

Congrats to Talon! I am of course sad that I won't see you guys much, but very excited for you as well! And we hear you on the moving fetish...we figured the other day that Luke alone has lived in 7 different houses in his short 3 years of life!! And we moved a few times before he was born!

Hello Family and Friends! If you haven't heard yet, our little baby girl Adalyn was born Tuesday, March 15th at about 2pm. She was born by emergency C-section (they knocked Nicole all the way out because there wasn't time for anything else) and was under a lot of distress. After a wonderful blessing from her Grandpa Hicken and Daddy she was life flighted to McKay-Dee Hospital in Ogden. She is still in the NICU there but is making great strides each and every day.  Her mommy and daddy named her Adalyn Julene Anderson-- after her great grandma Anderson (Julene). She has already blessed their lives immensely and she has benefited so much from prayers and fasts of family and friends. She has a long road ahead of her, but she is a fighter! Her grandpa Hicken calls her his little Millie- because she is a miracle baby and in Spanish, miracle is Milagro. She is a miracle and we are so happy to have her.  Love you all!

Delivery Day

Well folks- it's D-Day! After talking some more and discussing with us- our doctors (a team of OBs and Perinatologists) have decided that it is best for baby boy not to have any risks with the placenta and come today. So- He's going to be very early- they will have completed the steroids though, so that is helpful. But we all feel that this is the very best thing for HIM. I'll have a c-section- hopefully regular this time- this afternoon and we will have a baby boy by this evening. He will go straight to the NICU and we'll just see how he does to know more about how long he will be there. Again, thank you all for your comments, prayers, texts, phone calls. We appreciate all of you and your love and support for us! Love you all- remember we are in His hands. And who's better to be in.
