Whew!

Life has been a bit of a whirlwind lately! We've been super busy with the new students coming in and church responsibilities-- and then there is our precious Adalyn. 

She's been keeping us busy lately. We have had to do a lot of praying and trusting that the Lord is truly in control. Sometimes it can be hard to "leap" and know that He will take care of our sweet girl. The world of medicine is amazing and truly a gift from Him-- but that doesn't mean it is always easy to know you are making the right decision.

However, the other night, after tireless amounts of prayer trying to make a decision about her care and coming to a conclusion- Talon gave me a blessing. It was all the peace and direction I needed. As we start down this new road, I am grateful for a Father in Heaven who knows and loves us and is so intimately involved in the details. I know He is directing our lives and helping to shape and mold us to be who and how he wants us to be. 

I'm especially grateful to be Adalyn's mom. I know there are many who haven't yet had the opportunity to be mothers- and so, even on hard days, I am deeply grateful for the opportunity I have to be hers. 

We appreciate all of the love and prayers we receive from so many of you daily. We feel them. So Thank you.

Thanks for sharing. You guys are so inspiring to us. We're lucky to be friends with you. And we have loved seeing so many wonderful things happen with your family and with Adalyn.

Hello Family and Friends! If you haven't heard yet, our little baby girl Adalyn was born Tuesday, March 15th at about 2pm. She was born by emergency C-section (they knocked Nicole all the way out because there wasn't time for anything else) and was under a lot of distress. After a wonderful blessing from her Grandpa Hicken and Daddy she was life flighted to McKay-Dee Hospital in Ogden. She is still in the NICU there but is making great strides each and every day.  Her mommy and daddy named her Adalyn Julene Anderson-- after her great grandma Anderson (Julene). She has already blessed their lives immensely and she has benefited so much from prayers and fasts of family and friends. She has a long road ahead of her, but she is a fighter! Her grandpa Hicken calls her his little Millie- because she is a miracle baby and in Spanish, miracle is Milagro. She is a miracle and we are so happy to have her.  Love you all!

Delivery Day

Well folks- it's D-Day! After talking some more and discussing with us- our doctors (a team of OBs and Perinatologists) have decided that it is best for baby boy not to have any risks with the placenta and come today. So- He's going to be very early- they will have completed the steroids though, so that is helpful. But we all feel that this is the very best thing for HIM. I'll have a c-section- hopefully regular this time- this afternoon and we will have a baby boy by this evening. He will go straight to the NICU and we'll just see how he does to know more about how long he will be there. Again, thank you all for your comments, prayers, texts, phone calls. We appreciate all of you and your love and support for us! Love you all- remember we are in His hands. And who's better to be in.
