Nothing better than a game of Clue during a Tornado Watch

This is the Stander- a.k.a. Torture device. At least Adalyn thinks so.

Because at her age she should be standing,  she has to stand. This will help her hips, leg strength and head control. But you can see that THIS day, she was NOT a fan. 

Her hair is so long, but that darn helmet just covers it right up!

Sometimes we are so tired we fall asleep at friends houses.

Or at the park

Or the backyard

or in the car so mommy has to leave my next to the couch.

Mostly, we love to fall asleep in mommy's lap.

The school gym here has a GREAT group of ladies that I exercise with and this was the last day of spin before the 2nd  & 4th years move. (tear)

I promise I was working hard, even though it looks like I'm just messing around. 

Good times!


So there you have it! Livin' the good life in Kirksville. Taking our lives one day at a time and finding the JOY in each moment.

I love your picture updates! And that "stander" thing looks like a pretty cool little contraption. Doesn't look like it would be very easy to get her into it, though!

Oh my goodness, I love her curls! And those pigtails are to die for. So adorable. She's growing so fast! Mark and I were talking about you two last night and just remembering your awesomeness made us miss you as our neighbors!

Hello Family and Friends! If you haven't heard yet, our little baby girl Adalyn was born Tuesday, March 15th at about 2pm. She was born by emergency C-section (they knocked Nicole all the way out because there wasn't time for anything else) and was under a lot of distress. After a wonderful blessing from her Grandpa Hicken and Daddy she was life flighted to McKay-Dee Hospital in Ogden. She is still in the NICU there but is making great strides each and every day.  Her mommy and daddy named her Adalyn Julene Anderson-- after her great grandma Anderson (Julene). She has already blessed their lives immensely and she has benefited so much from prayers and fasts of family and friends. She has a long road ahead of her, but she is a fighter! Her grandpa Hicken calls her his little Millie- because she is a miracle baby and in Spanish, miracle is Milagro. She is a miracle and we are so happy to have her.  Love you all!

Delivery Day

Well folks- it's D-Day! After talking some more and discussing with us- our doctors (a team of OBs and Perinatologists) have decided that it is best for baby boy not to have any risks with the placenta and come today. So- He's going to be very early- they will have completed the steroids though, so that is helpful. But we all feel that this is the very best thing for HIM. I'll have a c-section- hopefully regular this time- this afternoon and we will have a baby boy by this evening. He will go straight to the NICU and we'll just see how he does to know more about how long he will be there. Again, thank you all for your comments, prayers, texts, phone calls. We appreciate all of you and your love and support for us! Love you all- remember we are in His hands. And who's better to be in.
