HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!

is having a Birthday TODAY! 

Boy do I feel lucky to have him. 
I'll try not to make this a sappy post-- but some sap means a healthy tree, right? (and thus a healthy relationship)

I'm celebrating his awesome parents who taught him so well.
His great siblings who helped shape his patience and love.
And HIM!!! He's pretty much awesome. And here are some reasons why:

1- He is service oriented 2- he knows how to build stuff 3- He loves watching John Wayne movies
4- He loves to read and learn 5- he knows how to work hard 6- He likes to play board games with me 7- He plays silly games on his iphone 8- He loves his ipad 9- He gets really passionate about things 10- He loves music 11- He writes (sometimes dorky) songs on his guitar 12- He's watched Pride and Prejudice with me 13- He cooks 14- He cleans 15- He knows stuff about cars 16- He keeps me calm when I think there are going to be tornadoes 17- he buys me things I need; like a space heater 18- He can bench 205 lbs! 19- He loves my family 20- He loves his family 21- He likes me without makeup or my hair done 22- He likes to play outdoors 23- He works so hard to provide and prepare to provide for our family 24- He loves the gospel and the Lord with all his heart 25- He loves Adalyn and is such a good daddy 26- He loves me

whew! 26 reasons. :D Happy Birthday Tal! Love you Forever!!!!!

Hello Family and Friends! If you haven't heard yet, our little baby girl Adalyn was born Tuesday, March 15th at about 2pm. She was born by emergency C-section (they knocked Nicole all the way out because there wasn't time for anything else) and was under a lot of distress. After a wonderful blessing from her Grandpa Hicken and Daddy she was life flighted to McKay-Dee Hospital in Ogden. She is still in the NICU there but is making great strides each and every day.  Her mommy and daddy named her Adalyn Julene Anderson-- after her great grandma Anderson (Julene). She has already blessed their lives immensely and she has benefited so much from prayers and fasts of family and friends. She has a long road ahead of her, but she is a fighter! Her grandpa Hicken calls her his little Millie- because she is a miracle baby and in Spanish, miracle is Milagro. She is a miracle and we are so happy to have her.  Love you all!

Delivery Day

Well folks- it's D-Day! After talking some more and discussing with us- our doctors (a team of OBs and Perinatologists) have decided that it is best for baby boy not to have any risks with the placenta and come today. So- He's going to be very early- they will have completed the steroids though, so that is helpful. But we all feel that this is the very best thing for HIM. I'll have a c-section- hopefully regular this time- this afternoon and we will have a baby boy by this evening. He will go straight to the NICU and we'll just see how he does to know more about how long he will be there. Again, thank you all for your comments, prayers, texts, phone calls. We appreciate all of you and your love and support for us! Love you all- remember we are in His hands. And who's better to be in.
