Christmas came just the same...

... it came without packages... but there were still A LOT of packages, especially for little Adalyn! I didn't do a great job with pictures, but I still managed a few... ahem. So, enjoy!

She was actually thrilled to wear her Christmas dress from Grandma Shirlene!

And who wouldn't love this coat and matching hat?!?

She rested up to prepare for our journey to Utah

And sometimes didn't rest when she was supposed to...

And then the day finally came! (Note: Onsie says, "What Santa doesn't bring me Grandma will"... and she did)

and then she boarded the plane

Her mama and dada had some excellent leg room

And they went to a concert and church and such fun... but all we have is a photo of her entering Wellsville, Utah

All bundled to go down to the cemetery to visit Great-Grandma's grave.


She even went to the annual Anderson Christmas Eve party

Her uncles and daddy were so funny... they all laughed so hard all night!

and Uncle Karl got a little carried away... as did the rest of us

Then I went back to Grandma Shirlene's and I was so cute!

Then I was magically back at Grandma Anderson's!

Saying goodbye to Grandma is hard.

Man, what a great visit. Now time to relax and rest.

We had such a fun time in Utah with family. Sorry if we weren't able to get together with some of you- our favorite people! We were trying to get in as much family time as possible! Come visit us in Missouri!

I'm glad that you guys had a great visit! No worries about not being able to get together this time - we ended up being crazy busy as well! Good luck with the upcoming semester and we'll catch you another time!

Hello Family and Friends! If you haven't heard yet, our little baby girl Adalyn was born Tuesday, March 15th at about 2pm. She was born by emergency C-section (they knocked Nicole all the way out because there wasn't time for anything else) and was under a lot of distress. After a wonderful blessing from her Grandpa Hicken and Daddy she was life flighted to McKay-Dee Hospital in Ogden. She is still in the NICU there but is making great strides each and every day.  Her mommy and daddy named her Adalyn Julene Anderson-- after her great grandma Anderson (Julene). She has already blessed their lives immensely and she has benefited so much from prayers and fasts of family and friends. She has a long road ahead of her, but she is a fighter! Her grandpa Hicken calls her his little Millie- because she is a miracle baby and in Spanish, miracle is Milagro. She is a miracle and we are so happy to have her.  Love you all!

Delivery Day

Well folks- it's D-Day! After talking some more and discussing with us- our doctors (a team of OBs and Perinatologists) have decided that it is best for baby boy not to have any risks with the placenta and come today. So- He's going to be very early- they will have completed the steroids though, so that is helpful. But we all feel that this is the very best thing for HIM. I'll have a c-section- hopefully regular this time- this afternoon and we will have a baby boy by this evening. He will go straight to the NICU and we'll just see how he does to know more about how long he will be there. Again, thank you all for your comments, prayers, texts, phone calls. We appreciate all of you and your love and support for us! Love you all- remember we are in His hands. And who's better to be in.
