On the Twelfth Day of Christmas...
Christmas Eve...
The Eve of the Savior's birth- at least as we celebrate.
It usually starts with some sweet SKIING!
Then, we clean up, sing songs, and help with the dinner preparations
Sometimes we make cookies
Sometimes we make ham
sometimes... if we're lucky, Dad throws out tradition completely and we have steak and crab legs!
But we always have lots of people- not just our family.
And we always sing songs
Do the nativity,
have some pretty hysterical white elephants (pedro, edward cullen)
and then we open PJs...
and sleep in the same room
And Melanie always wakes us up early to see what Santa has brought.
And then, we remember Him.
He is the reason for the season we celebrate!
He, the Christ child, grew and sacrificed and blessed, and served.
He lives.
And we can live again too.
All united in His perfect love and in His atonement.
Merry Christmas!
