Our Surprise visitor in LOGAN

Before Adalyn and I left we were spending some quality time with my mom, cousin, and aunt when a knock came at the door around 10pm. IT WAS CHELSEA AND ANDY!!! They came 4 days earlier than we thought they were coming!!! Of course it was Chelsea's plan all along to surprise us! We had a lot of fun! 

Andy and Adalyn were cute together, she was mostly oblivious to his existence, but he would stroke her head and arms.



We went to lunch with my mom, fed them shaved ice (shhh... don't tell our pediatrician!)




Visited Melanie in Bear Lake and surprised her with Chelsea and Andy! and then, at the end of the week, right before Adalyn and I left for Missouri, we had some COUSIN PICTURES taken by my good friend Belinda (Fanjul) Olsen. It was so fun! Chelsea made matching hats for them and Andy tried desperately to strip Adalyn's off of her head! 





I'm so glad I have a fun sister and that she came early so I could spend some more time with her and cute little (or big) Andy.

What's wrong with shaved ice? Their bodies are 80% water anyway, water is going to hurt them. Doctors say not to give your infants water because they are worried about parents filling the child's belly with just that instead of milk. I use to give Hanna Marie whole bottles of water as a baby when her tummy hurt or when she was constipated.

I'm glad you guys had fun before you moved!

Hello Family and Friends! If you haven't heard yet, our little baby girl Adalyn was born Tuesday, March 15th at about 2pm. She was born by emergency C-section (they knocked Nicole all the way out because there wasn't time for anything else) and was under a lot of distress. After a wonderful blessing from her Grandpa Hicken and Daddy she was life flighted to McKay-Dee Hospital in Ogden. She is still in the NICU there but is making great strides each and every day.  Her mommy and daddy named her Adalyn Julene Anderson-- after her great grandma Anderson (Julene). She has already blessed their lives immensely and she has benefited so much from prayers and fasts of family and friends. She has a long road ahead of her, but she is a fighter! Her grandpa Hicken calls her his little Millie- because she is a miracle baby and in Spanish, miracle is Milagro. She is a miracle and we are so happy to have her.  Love you all!

Delivery Day

Well folks- it's D-Day! After talking some more and discussing with us- our doctors (a team of OBs and Perinatologists) have decided that it is best for baby boy not to have any risks with the placenta and come today. So- He's going to be very early- they will have completed the steroids though, so that is helpful. But we all feel that this is the very best thing for HIM. I'll have a c-section- hopefully regular this time- this afternoon and we will have a baby boy by this evening. He will go straight to the NICU and we'll just see how he does to know more about how long he will be there. Again, thank you all for your comments, prayers, texts, phone calls. We appreciate all of you and your love and support for us! Love you all- remember we are in His hands. And who's better to be in.
