Audio Books

So, I LOVE TO READ... especially literature... classics, fiction of a sci-fi type, heart wrenching stories, both LDS and non... Well, ok, so I just enjoy reading. I have a REALLY long list of books to read this summer... and I'm doing the BULK of my research for my thesis this summer too... SO... I've gone audio style to get in as much of the lighter stuff as I can.

I've been listening to books while running, while working and weeding, and while getting ready in the morning. It is SOOO enjoyable, especially if you can find a good recording. One of my most recent FAVORITES (Thanks to my mom and Tal's mom for the suggestion) was The Help. IT WAS FANTASTIC... plus, thanks to the amazing talent of the 4 actresses who read the book I am now feeling like my Southern accent is the greatest :)!

So, Y'all get out thar and listen to some good books, ya hear? :) Ah, I love technology.

Wasn't it a wonderful book?? I only listened to a little bit of the recording, the rest I read old-school style. Sounds like a fun summer! Good luck!

oooh. Thank you. we are getting ready for a trip and though I know i will be on kid entertainment duty for the most part when she is sleeping, now I know what book to check out to read! (or listen to)

PS If you want a good one read, "Love is Eternal" by Irving Stone its the love story of Abraham Lincoln and Mary Todd and I LOVED it!!!

I actually just read this last month and it was absolutely fantastic! You guys are so great to be able to have gone with the youth - I'd love to go on a trek someday. I hope you enjoy the rest of your summer!

Hello Family and Friends! If you haven't heard yet, our little baby girl Adalyn was born Tuesday, March 15th at about 2pm. She was born by emergency C-section (they knocked Nicole all the way out because there wasn't time for anything else) and was under a lot of distress. After a wonderful blessing from her Grandpa Hicken and Daddy she was life flighted to McKay-Dee Hospital in Ogden. She is still in the NICU there but is making great strides each and every day.  Her mommy and daddy named her Adalyn Julene Anderson-- after her great grandma Anderson (Julene). She has already blessed their lives immensely and she has benefited so much from prayers and fasts of family and friends. She has a long road ahead of her, but she is a fighter! Her grandpa Hicken calls her his little Millie- because she is a miracle baby and in Spanish, miracle is Milagro. She is a miracle and we are so happy to have her.  Love you all!

Delivery Day

Well folks- it's D-Day! After talking some more and discussing with us- our doctors (a team of OBs and Perinatologists) have decided that it is best for baby boy not to have any risks with the placenta and come today. So- He's going to be very early- they will have completed the steroids though, so that is helpful. But we all feel that this is the very best thing for HIM. I'll have a c-section- hopefully regular this time- this afternoon and we will have a baby boy by this evening. He will go straight to the NICU and we'll just see how he does to know more about how long he will be there. Again, thank you all for your comments, prayers, texts, phone calls. We appreciate all of you and your love and support for us! Love you all- remember we are in His hands. And who's better to be in.
