Date Night

About a week ago I was giving Talon a hard time because we hadn't really been out on a "date". We do stuff together all the time and we have friends over for date night, but we just hadn't been out the two of us. So, last Friday when I met him on campus for lunch, he asked if I wanted to go out with him that night. This is how it went down:

We picked up dinner at Pita Pit. We then took my dad's humungous van and had a picnic at 1st dam.

After the picnic we pulled out my dad's tandem kayak. Yep, you heard right... tandem. Like a canoe, only better because it's a kayak.




After we learned a little bit about how canoeing and kayaking are like building a good marriage (you need to make sure you are rowing TOGETHER), we had a lot of fun.

I love spending time with Tal and it was nice to get out and do something just the two of us! Next week, the tandem bicycle!

Sounds like a fun date...!
Mike and I were just talking the other night about how it would be fun to double with you guys the next time you are in town with Tal's family. Give us a call, we would love it!

Hello Family and Friends! If you haven't heard yet, our little baby girl Adalyn was born Tuesday, March 15th at about 2pm. She was born by emergency C-section (they knocked Nicole all the way out because there wasn't time for anything else) and was under a lot of distress. After a wonderful blessing from her Grandpa Hicken and Daddy she was life flighted to McKay-Dee Hospital in Ogden. She is still in the NICU there but is making great strides each and every day.  Her mommy and daddy named her Adalyn Julene Anderson-- after her great grandma Anderson (Julene). She has already blessed their lives immensely and she has benefited so much from prayers and fasts of family and friends. She has a long road ahead of her, but she is a fighter! Her grandpa Hicken calls her his little Millie- because she is a miracle baby and in Spanish, miracle is Milagro. She is a miracle and we are so happy to have her.  Love you all!

Delivery Day

Well folks- it's D-Day! After talking some more and discussing with us- our doctors (a team of OBs and Perinatologists) have decided that it is best for baby boy not to have any risks with the placenta and come today. So- He's going to be very early- they will have completed the steroids though, so that is helpful. But we all feel that this is the very best thing for HIM. I'll have a c-section- hopefully regular this time- this afternoon and we will have a baby boy by this evening. He will go straight to the NICU and we'll just see how he does to know more about how long he will be there. Again, thank you all for your comments, prayers, texts, phone calls. We appreciate all of you and your love and support for us! Love you all- remember we are in His hands. And who's better to be in.
