Manipulate: to control or play upon by artful, unfair, or insidious means especially to one's own advantage.

Many of you have met or seen pictures of this guy:

Well, I am sad to tell you all that he is a MANIPULATOR EXTRAORDINAIRE!!!! This guy whines to get what he wants... he makes little puppy dog faces so you feel extremely guilty... and he is currently WORSE because my mom is in NY with the Hill Cumorah Pageant so Chelsea and I are having to take turns watching him.

All I can say is that it is RIDICULOUS how much attention this guy needs. He has already weaseled his way into:
-numerous treats
-midnight potty breaks
-coming to visit our apartment SO I COULD TAKE A FLIPPIN' SHOWER!!!
-licking my dinner plate
-walks
-going outside so he can "potty" aka- run outside for 2 seconds to receive a treat upon re-entering the house
-and making me feel extremely guilty every time I have to leave him for a few hours

I'm in the middle of a moral dilemma. The residents and other managers need me to be here at Pine View and be dependable... but Barkley seems to need me to give him attention.

Should be an easy one to figure out... anyone know any good dog hypnotism?

The manipulation, the guilt, the numerous potty trips, licking your dinner plate..... yep-- definitely sounds like having a baby. Only kidding.... but seriously.

Hello Family and Friends! If you haven't heard yet, our little baby girl Adalyn was born Tuesday, March 15th at about 2pm. She was born by emergency C-section (they knocked Nicole all the way out because there wasn't time for anything else) and was under a lot of distress. After a wonderful blessing from her Grandpa Hicken and Daddy she was life flighted to McKay-Dee Hospital in Ogden. She is still in the NICU there but is making great strides each and every day.  Her mommy and daddy named her Adalyn Julene Anderson-- after her great grandma Anderson (Julene). She has already blessed their lives immensely and she has benefited so much from prayers and fasts of family and friends. She has a long road ahead of her, but she is a fighter! Her grandpa Hicken calls her his little Millie- because she is a miracle baby and in Spanish, miracle is Milagro. She is a miracle and we are so happy to have her.  Love you all!

Delivery Day

Well folks- it's D-Day! After talking some more and discussing with us- our doctors (a team of OBs and Perinatologists) have decided that it is best for baby boy not to have any risks with the placenta and come today. So- He's going to be very early- they will have completed the steroids though, so that is helpful. But we all feel that this is the very best thing for HIM. I'll have a c-section- hopefully regular this time- this afternoon and we will have a baby boy by this evening. He will go straight to the NICU and we'll just see how he does to know more about how long he will be there. Again, thank you all for your comments, prayers, texts, phone calls. We appreciate all of you and your love and support for us! Love you all- remember we are in His hands. And who's better to be in.
