One down, three to go

By -

So... this has been on the down low for a bit now, but I applied to masters programs in English and Political Science at both USU and the U of U. I have heard back from 1 department. The English Department at USU offers me, not only a place as one of their graduate students, but an annual stipend and Graduate Intructorship. My ideal would be to attend USU (cheap, close, husband attends there, you know, the practical stuff), and to study Poli Sci, but the jury is apparently still out. I'm hoping to hear from the department at USU and both departments at the U in the next few weeks. I'm also hoping for at Teaching Assistantship at USU in poli sci. Pray for me... with budget cuts going the way they are, there is no knowing.

Well, here's to going on in education!

Yeah, I'm thinking you're totally going to dominate. It's fun to look at your blog and see all that's going on in your life. By the way, I'll be in Logan later this month to visit my brother Aaron. We'll have to hook up.

She's here!

Hello Family and Friends! If you haven't heard yet, our little baby girl Adalyn was born Tuesday, March 15th at about 2pm. She was born by emergency C-section (they knocked Nicole all the way out because there wasn't time for anything else) and was under a lot of distress. After a wonderful blessing from her Grandpa Hicken and Daddy she was life flighted to McKay-Dee Hospital in Ogden. She is still in the NICU there but is making great strides each and every day.  Her mommy and daddy named her Adalyn Julene Anderson-- after her great grandma Anderson (Julene). She has already blessed their lives immensely and she has benefited so much from prayers and fasts of family and friends. She has a long road ahead of her, but she is a fighter! Her grandpa Hicken calls her his little Millie- because she is a miracle baby and in Spanish, miracle is Milagro. She is a miracle and we are so happy to have her.  Love you all!

Delivery Day

By -
Well folks- it's D-Day! After talking some more and discussing with us- our doctors (a team of OBs and Perinatologists) have decided that it is best for baby boy not to have any risks with the placenta and come today. So- He's going to be very early- they will have completed the steroids though, so that is helpful. But we all feel that this is the very best thing for HIM. I'll have a c-section- hopefully regular this time- this afternoon and we will have a baby boy by this evening. He will go straight to the NICU and we'll just see how he does to know more about how long he will be there. Again, thank you all for your comments, prayers, texts, phone calls. We appreciate all of you and your love and support for us! Love you all- remember we are in His hands. And who's better to be in.
