Not just a mom... but a true hero!

Today we celebrate my mom's ... 25th birthday! (wow! I'm catching up... then I can start celebrating 25th birthdays for years too!) She is truly an amazing person and such an example of love and service. She has given her whole life starting about 24 years ago to her children. She does everything from making playdough, to teaching us to cook, clean, and sew, to driving us to practice, lessons, and friend's homes. Our mom truly sacrifices all for us, and we appreciate EVERYTHING she does! I know sometimes it doesn't seem like we are grateful or care, but my mom is truly an angel, and I guarantee my father would agree! You've taught your children to put the gospel first, and you've now finally started to see some of the fruits of that hard labor!
Thanks mom for everything you've taught me through word and example. I owe everything I am and will become to you and your love for the gospel and the Savior. Thanks for helping to instill in me a love for the most important thing ever, the gospel and atonement of Jesus Christ! I love you! Happy Birthday!

Hello Family and Friends! If you haven't heard yet, our little baby girl Adalyn was born Tuesday, March 15th at about 2pm. She was born by emergency C-section (they knocked Nicole all the way out because there wasn't time for anything else) and was under a lot of distress. After a wonderful blessing from her Grandpa Hicken and Daddy she was life flighted to McKay-Dee Hospital in Ogden. She is still in the NICU there but is making great strides each and every day.  Her mommy and daddy named her Adalyn Julene Anderson-- after her great grandma Anderson (Julene). She has already blessed their lives immensely and she has benefited so much from prayers and fasts of family and friends. She has a long road ahead of her, but she is a fighter! Her grandpa Hicken calls her his little Millie- because she is a miracle baby and in Spanish, miracle is Milagro. She is a miracle and we are so happy to have her.  Love you all!

Delivery Day

Well folks- it's D-Day! After talking some more and discussing with us- our doctors (a team of OBs and Perinatologists) have decided that it is best for baby boy not to have any risks with the placenta and come today. So- He's going to be very early- they will have completed the steroids though, so that is helpful. But we all feel that this is the very best thing for HIM. I'll have a c-section- hopefully regular this time- this afternoon and we will have a baby boy by this evening. He will go straight to the NICU and we'll just see how he does to know more about how long he will be there. Again, thank you all for your comments, prayers, texts, phone calls. We appreciate all of you and your love and support for us! Love you all- remember we are in His hands. And who's better to be in.
