Bad wife...

So, over 12 days ago now, May 2nd, it was Tal's birthday. I feel like a total slacker... I haven't blogged FOREVER! But, my wonderful husband did have a birthday, and I'm so proud of myself, we were able to spread it out over 4 days! That's right! The night before we had some friends over from our ward and so of course had to have cake and ice cream! The best part was having to go 25 feet from the apartment building so we could light his candles. I know... weird, we can have a gas stove, but no birthday candles! Then, ofcourse, on his actual birthday we celebrated. Made it down to Centerville the next day for a celebration with his family, and finally, on Sunday we celebrated with my family. Now, if I do say so myself, that is the way to do a birthday!

Hello Family and Friends! If you haven't heard yet, our little baby girl Adalyn was born Tuesday, March 15th at about 2pm. She was born by emergency C-section (they knocked Nicole all the way out because there wasn't time for anything else) and was under a lot of distress. After a wonderful blessing from her Grandpa Hicken and Daddy she was life flighted to McKay-Dee Hospital in Ogden. She is still in the NICU there but is making great strides each and every day.  Her mommy and daddy named her Adalyn Julene Anderson-- after her great grandma Anderson (Julene). She has already blessed their lives immensely and she has benefited so much from prayers and fasts of family and friends. She has a long road ahead of her, but she is a fighter! Her grandpa Hicken calls her his little Millie- because she is a miracle baby and in Spanish, miracle is Milagro. She is a miracle and we are so happy to have her.  Love you all!

Delivery Day

Well folks- it's D-Day! After talking some more and discussing with us- our doctors (a team of OBs and Perinatologists) have decided that it is best for baby boy not to have any risks with the placenta and come today. So- He's going to be very early- they will have completed the steroids though, so that is helpful. But we all feel that this is the very best thing for HIM. I'll have a c-section- hopefully regular this time- this afternoon and we will have a baby boy by this evening. He will go straight to the NICU and we'll just see how he does to know more about how long he will be there. Again, thank you all for your comments, prayers, texts, phone calls. We appreciate all of you and your love and support for us! Love you all- remember we are in His hands. And who's better to be in.
